This room is located in the majestic live oaks upstairs above the original part of the home.  After a fire The Koocks lived at Green Pastures and operated the restaurant downstairs from the late Forties until 1965 when a fire in the upstairs living area forced them to move.  In 1984 the upstairs was restored and was dedicated to the Texas wine industry with Agricultural Commissioner Jim Hightower.
